**Editors of the nobuyclub field guide · Builders of the free no-buy tracker · Santa Barbara, California**

Every guide on this site is written by the same small independent team that designs and builds the [nobuyclub tracker](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nobuyclub-no-buy-tracker/id6798120973). We aren't a content farm renting a keyword — the app and the writing come from the same people, and we run our own no-buy and no-spend challenges before we write about them.

## Why trust our guides

* **We build the tools we write about.** The rules, streak mechanics, and temptation-log methods in our guides are the same systems we engineered into the tracker.
* **We test everything on ourselves.** The week-by-week plans come from running the challenges, not summarizing other blogs.
* **We cite primary sources.** Where our guides make claims about spending, we link official data like the [BLS Consumer Expenditure Survey](https://www.bls.gov/cex/) and research-based programs like [Iowa State University Extension](https://www.extension.iastate.edu/).
* **Our incentives are disclosed.** The app is free with one optional $9.99 unlock, and any affiliate links are labeled. Details in our [About page](/about.html) and [Privacy Policy](/privacy.html).

## Where else to find us
